India Dhal Ingredients Schotel

Ingredients:

150 g lentil dhal/side (split lentils) *
500 ml water, to boil
1 piece (100 g) onion, halve 8
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 spoon of grated ginger
1/2 spoon of turmeric powder
1/2 pieces (60 g) red bell pepper, cut into 1 cm thick juring
150 g peas
500 g red sweet potato, peeled, boiled until tender, puree
100 g cheddar cheese, shaved

SAUTE SEASONING:

  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1/2 pieces (100 g) onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 spoon coriander powder
  • 1 spoon chili powder
  • 3 pieces of red pepper, seeded, cut into 1 cm
  • 1 spoon of salt
  • 1/2 spoon of pepper powder

HOW TO MAKE India Dhal Schotel :

Preheat the oven to 180 ° c. Prepare the baking pan heat resistant glass size 19x8x5cm.
Brush canola oil thinly, set aside.

Boiled dhal/lentils in water together with onion, garlic, gingerand turmeric untilboiling. Reduce heat, simmer 20 minutes to hold thick gravy.

Spice stir-fry: heat the canola oil, stir in onion. Stir-fry until fragrant and wither,
stir in coriander powder, chilli powder, and red pepper, mix well, lift. Mix withdhal/lentils, add salt and pepper powder, mix well.

Arrange 1/2 part sweet at the bottom of a baking pan insert 3/4 part dhal/lentils stir-fry. Roll out the remaining sweet potato on it while a bit compressed, flatten the rest of dhal/lentil stew over it. Sprinkle cheese. Bake in the oven until cooked (20 minutes).
